Facts about B33

- The dimension overview of the Horsehead Nebula is 4 light-years height and 2 light-years width.
o - Barnard 33 is famous because it is the Horsehead Nebula.
o - One of the most recognisable and most photographed nebulae in the entire sky, thanks to its dramatic silhouette and its location in Orion.
o - A star‑forming region – the “neck” and base of the Horsehead contain young stars forming inside the dust, making it scientifically important for studying how radiation shapes interstellar clouds.
o - A challenge for observers – despite its fame, it is very difficult to see visually in amateur telescopes, and the only filter that reliably makes B33 visible in an eyepiece is an H‑β filter.
