Close approach of the Moon and M45

  • The nearly Full Moon makes a close approach to Messier 45 (M45), the famous Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters.
    o
  • The two celestial objects will appear less than one degree apart in the sky.
    o
  • 10×50 binoculars will help you frame the Moon and the cluster together ~ a camera with manual exposure settings may also capture the pairing, although shorter exposures will help prevent the Moon from appearing overexposed.
