Friday 10th May 2024 (Northern Lights)

The Northern Lights spotted over Hertfordshire as Aurora Borealis seen usually far south.
Some members of Hertfordshire Deaf Astronomical Society (HDAS) captured their stunning photos from their different locations.

Nicholas Ansell at Watford
The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) was clearly visible over Watford in Hertfordshire late Friday, 10th May 2024.

I stayed up late to catch the rare phenomenon on camera and looked up by a naked eye, it lit up Watford to delight of Hertfordshire residents.

Robin Lowe at Swanage, Dorset
I was not in Hertfordshire this time but I was stood at the “further” south of the United Kingdom with a spectacular show of pink and green, the Northern Lights were able to be seen by the naked eyed and through my camera lens as far south as Swanage in Dorset.

Really amazing colours over Swanage in Dorset, I was so delighted, I could’ve easily missed it due to being at Dorset, pretty much very southern of Untied Kingdom.
