  • The Leonids are one of the most anticipated annual meteor showers, known for their swift, bright meteors that streak across the night sky at speeds up to 44 mile per seconds / 70 kilometer per seconds.

  • They originate from debris left by Comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle, with meteors appearing to radiate from the constellation Leo (The Lion).
