BSL Astronomy – lunar eclipse

oooo

Lunar eclipse
A lunar eclipse happens when the Earth passes
between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on the Moon.
o
This can cause the Moon to appear dimmer or even red in colour.
This happens when the Earth’s atmosphere
scatters blue light and bends red light towards the moon.
