  • the atmosphere is moving upward from ground level, these five layers are called the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, and exosphere.
  • it is made up of gases, including 21% oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium, carbon dioxide, and ozone.
  • the atmosphere protects life on Earth by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and reducing temperature extremes.
